Introduction
Scales
All ships can be printed in 1:1800 or 1:2400 or any similar custom scale.
Some ships have more detail by clicking on them.
Bases
All ships come with or without an integral textured sea base. There are three types of base.
Thin a thin (around 2-3mm thick) textured sea base with a raised area at the stern which has the ships name and date on it. The name or raised area can be omitted on request. Destroyers (and smaller) have the class on it.
Deep a much thicker textured 'Hovercraft style' base (around 5-6mm thick) with the ship name and date on each side. As standard the model has the ship name on the port side and the class on the starboard. For example "HMS Cumberland (1939)" on the port, "County (Kent) Class CA" on the starboard.
Wide a wider version of the 'Deep' base with the same style of name as above.
Supports
Ships come on a support 'raft' that helps protect them when posted. I glue the 'raft' to the package. Larger ships also have a few small supports supporting the gun barrels etc. These can be easily flicked off with a small knife. Click here to see a video of the raft being removed.
