The following versions of HMS Suffolk are available:
- 1939 (to May 1941)
- 1941 (to mid 1942)
- 1942 (to April 1943)
- 1943 (to end of war)
1939
This model shows HMS Suffolk as she appeared until April 1940 when she was badly damaged and out of action until May 1941. This version could represent her in an early war engagement.
At this point her armament consisted of:
- Eight 8in guns in twin mounts
- Two quad 2pdr AA mounts
- Four single 4in AA guns
- Two quad .5in MG
She was equipped with a Walrus aircraft.

1941
This model represents her after she was repaired (May 1941 until mid 1942).
Changes included:
- Tripod masts
- Four 20mm AA guns were added
- Two of the single 4in AA guns were replaced by twin 4in AA guns

1942
This model is identical to the 1941 version with the exception of some 20mm AA guns (unclear on the exact date these were fitted).
1943
This model represents her from April 1943 to 1945
Changes include:
- Aircraft facilities removed (not the hanger)
- Total of nine single 20mm AA guns
